৮০ নং সূরা আল-আবাসা

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু [1] عَبَسَ وَتَوَلّىٰ [1] তিনি ভ্রূকুঞ্চিত করলেন এবং মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলেন। [1] (The Prophet (SAW)) frowned and turned away, [2] أَن جاءَهُ الأَعمىٰ [2] কারণ, তাঁর কাছে এক অন্ধ আগমন করল। [2] Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullâh bin Umm-Maktûm, who came to the Prophet (SAW) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs) [3] وَما يُدريكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكّىٰ [3] আপনি কি জানেন, সে হয়তো পরিশুদ্ধ হত, [3] And how can you know that he might become pure (from sins)? [4] أَو يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ الذِّكرىٰ [4] অথবা উপদেশ গ্রহণ করতো এবং উপদেশ তার উপকার হত। [4] Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? [5] أَمّا مَنِ استَغنىٰ [5] পরন্তু যে বেপরোয়া, [5] As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, [6] فَأَنتَ لَهُ تَصَدّىٰ [6] আপনি তার চিন্তায় মশগুল। [6] To him you attend; [7] وَما عَلَيكَ أَلّا يَزَّكّىٰ [7] সে শুদ্ধ না হলে আপনার কোন দোষ নেই। [7] What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allâh) [8] وَأَمّا مَن جاءَكَ يَسعىٰ [8] যে আপনার কাছে দৌড়ে আসলো [8] But as to him who came to you running [9] وَهُوَ يَخشىٰ [9] এমতাবস্থায় যে, সে ভয় করে, [9] And is afraid (of Allâh and His Punishment), [10] فَأَنتَ عَنهُ تَلَهّىٰ [10] আপনি তাকে অবজ্ঞা করলেন। [10] Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, [11] كَلّا إِنَّها تَذكِرَةٌ [11] কখনও এরূপ করবেন না, এটা উপদেশবানী। [11] Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (this Qur'ân) is an admonition, [12] فَمَن شاءَ ذَكَرَهُ [12] অতএব, যে ইচ্ছা করবে, সে একে গ্রহণ করবে। [12] So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. [13] فى صُحُفٍ مُكَرَّمَةٍ [13] এটা লিখিত আছে সম্মানিত, [13] (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz). [14] مَرفوعَةٍ مُطَهَّرَةٍ [14] উচ্চ পবিত্র পত্রসমূহে, [14] Exalted (in dignity), purified, [15] بِأَيدى سَفَرَةٍ [15] লিপিকারের হস্তে, [15] In the hands of scribes (angels). [16] كِرامٍ بَرَرَةٍ [16] যারা মহৎ, পূত চরিত্র। [16] Honourable and obedient. [17] قُتِلَ الإِنسٰنُ ما أَكفَرَهُ [17] মানুষ ধ্বংস হোক, সে কত অকৃতজ্ঞ! [17] Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! [18] مِن أَىِّ شَيءٍ خَلَقَهُ [18] তিনি তাকে কি বস্তু থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন? [18] From what thing did He create him? [19] مِن نُطفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُ [19] শুক্র থেকে তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তাকে সুপরিমিত করেছেন। [19] From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; [20] ثُمَّ السَّبيلَ يَسَّرَهُ [20] অতঃপর তার পথ সহজ করেছেন, [20] Then He makes the Path easy for him; [21] ثُمَّ أَماتَهُ فَأَقبَرَهُ [21] অতঃপর তার মৃত্যু ঘটান ও কবরস্থ করেন তাকে। [21] Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; [22] ثُمَّ إِذا شاءَ أَنشَرَهُ [22] এরপর যখন ইচ্ছা করবেন তখন তাকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করবেন। [22] Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). [23] كَلّا لَمّا يَقضِ ما أَمَرَهُ [23] সে কখনও কৃতজ্ঞ হয়নি, তিনি তাকে যা আদেশ করেছেন, সে তা পূর্ণ করেনি। [23] Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. [24] فَليَنظُرِ الإِنسٰنُ إِلىٰ طَعامِهِ [24] মানুষ তার খাদ্যের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করুক, [24] Then let man look at his food, [25] أَنّا صَبَبنَا الماءَ صَبًّا [25] আমি আশ্চর্য উপায়ে পানি বর্ষণ করেছি, [25] We pour forth water in abundance, [26] ثُمَّ شَقَقنَا الأَرضَ شَقًّا [26] এরপর আমি ভূমিকে বিদীর্ণ করেছি, [26] And We split the earth in clefts, [27] فَأَنبَتنا فيها حَبًّا [27] অতঃপর তাতে উৎপন্ন করেছি শস্য, [27] And We cause therein the grain to grow, [28] وَعِنَبًا وَقَضبًا [28] আঙ্গুর, শাক-সব্জি, [28] And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), [29] وَزَيتونًا وَنَخلًا [29] যয়তুন, খর্জূর, [29] And olives and date-palms, [30] وَحَدائِقَ غُلبًا [30] ঘন উদ্যান, [30] And gardens, dense with many trees, [31] وَفٰكِهَةً وَأَبًّا [31] ফল এবং ঘাস [31] And fruits and herbage. [32] مَتٰعًا لَكُم وَلِأَنعٰمِكُم [32] তোমাদেরও তোমাদের চতুস্পদ জন্তুদের উপাকারার্থে। [32] (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. [33] فَإِذا جاءَتِ الصّاخَّةُ [33] অতঃপর যেদিন কর্ণবিদারক নাদ আসবে, [33] Then, when there comes As-Sâkhkhah (the second blowing of the Trumpet on the Day of Resurrection) — [34] يَومَ يَفِرُّ المَرءُ مِن أَخيهِ [34] সেদিন পলায়ন করবে মানুষ তার ভ্রাতার কাছ থেকে, [34] That Day shall a man flee from his brother, [35] وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبيهِ [35] তার মাতা, তার পিতা, [35] And from his mother and his father, [36] وَصٰحِبَتِهِ وَبَنيهِ [36] তার পত্নী ও তার সন্তানদের কাছ থেকে। [36] And from his wife and his children. [37] لِكُلِّ امرِئٍ مِنهُم يَومَئِذٍ شَأنٌ يُغنيهِ [37] সেদিন প্রত্যেকেরই নিজের এক চিন্তা থাকবে, যা তাকে ব্যতিব্যস্ত করে রাখবে। [37] Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. [38] وُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ مُسفِرَةٌ [38] অনেক মুখমন্ডল সেদিন হবে উজ্জ্বল, [38] Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islâmic Monotheism). [39] ضاحِكَةٌ مُستَبشِرَةٌ [39] সহাস্য ও প্রফুল্ল। [39] Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). [40] وَوُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ عَلَيها غَبَرَةٌ [40] এবং অনেক মুখমন্ডল সেদিন হবে ধুলি ধূসরিত। [40] And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; [41] تَرهَقُها قَتَرَةٌ [41] তাদেরকে কালিমা আচ্ছন্ন করে রাখবে। [41] Darkness will cover them, [42] أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الكَفَرَةُ الفَجَرَةُ [42] তারাই কাফের পাপিষ্ঠের দল। [42] Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allâh, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW, etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers).
